Who you are contracting with
These terms apply to everything you buy or receive through rectobrand.com. Your contract is with Recto, Chau. de Boondael 166, 3e, Ixelles, 1050 Brussels, Belgium, enterprise number 1044.114.136, VAT BE1044114136, contact hello@rectobrand.com, telephone +32 492 80 19 79. We call it Recto below.
What Recto is
Recto turns a rough business idea into written brand direction, an identity and a set of rules you can use. You send a brief, Recto makes the calls and explains them, and you receive documents and files.
Recto gives commercial and creative judgement. It is not legal, tax, accounting or financial advice, and it does not guarantee any commercial result: no particular number of customers, no ranking, no revenue.
How the outputs are made
Recto's outputs are generated with the help of AI models working to a fixed set of editorial rules. Similar briefs can produce similar directions, and no output is claimed to be unique in the world.
Names, logos and trademarks: your responsibility
This matters more than anything else on this page. Recto does not carry out trademark searches, company name checks or domain availability checks. A name or logo Recto proposes may already be registered or used by somebody else, in your country or elsewhere.
Before you use any name, tagline or logo commercially, you are responsible for checking that you may: search the Benelux and EU trademark registers, check the Belgian enterprise register, and take legal advice if anything is close. Recto is not liable for any claim arising from your use of a proposed name or mark.
What you may do with what you receive
When you have paid in full, you may use the outputs for your own business, commercially, without paying anything further, including in modified form. We will not show your brand publicly as an example of our work unless you give us permission in writing.
Recto keeps ownership of its own method, templates, prompts and the software behind the service.
What we need from you
- Give accurate information in the brief. The quality of the output depends on it.
- Only submit material you are allowed to submit, and do not send anyone else's confidential information.
- Do not use Recto for anything unlawful, or to build something that infringes someone else's rights.
Prices, payment and VAT
Prices are shown in euro on the pricing section of the site. Early access prices apply while the product is in early access and may change for future purchases; a change never affects something you have already bought. The displayed price is the total payable for the stated product.
Payment is taken by Stripe. Your order is accepted when payment succeeds and we confirm it by email.
Delivery
Delivery is digital. The first three levels are normally emailed within 10–15 minutes after your completed brief or, for paid products, confirmed payment. Technical problems can occasionally cause delays; if your result has not arrived, contact hello@rectobrand.com, telephone +32 492 80 19 79. Expert Support timing is agreed with you before payment.
Cancellation and refunds
Digital delivery can affect the right of withdrawal only where the applicable legal conditions have been met. It is set out in full in the refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
If something is wrong
If what you receive does not match what was described, tell us. As a consumer you keep your statutory rights under Belgian law to have the problem put right, and nothing here limits them.
Liability
Recto is liable for damage caused by its own failure to meet these terms, up to the amount you paid for the product concerned. Recto is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost data or lost opportunity.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
Availability
Recto is in early access. The service may change, pause or be withdrawn, and we do not promise uninterrupted availability. If we withdraw something you have paid for and not received, you get your money back.
Which law applies, and how to complain
Belgian law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of any mandatory rules of the country where you live.
Talk to us first: hello@rectobrand.com. If we cannot resolve it, you can contact the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service, consumerombudsman.be, or bring the matter before the competent Belgian courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for future orders. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you bought.
